Job Summary:
Under minimal supervision of the work center’s Team Lead and/or supervisor, the Industrial Engineer will be responsible for the physical assembly, wiring, troubleshooting, and testing of electrical and industrial control panels of industrialized machinery.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Install and troubleshoot control wiring from drawings
- Perform routine responsibilities supporting electrical panels, systems, and wiring
- Test electrical systems to determine where issues may be occurring, ensure the safety of the system and compatibility
- Assemble and install electronic control panels and equipment
- Punch boxes as necessary
- Make proper conduit runs, flex conduit or liquid tight
- Pull approximate size and color wire
- Label parts and wire industrial machinery
- Prepare equipment for installation.
- Install feeder wires
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering personnel to resolve problems
- Review and update/redline system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics
- Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring or devices
- Follow departmental and company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, personnel, material control and other relevant systems
- Ensure that quality of products produced meets or exceeds Una-Dyn standards
- Interact with team members in a professional manner
- Identify production problems in a proactive manner
- Offer suggestions to improve the safety, quality, timeliness, and cost of controls
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Completion of electrician apprenticeship
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- 3-5 years of industrial wiring experience
- Experience with circuits and electronics
- Knowledge of testing industrial machines with different voltages to include European voltages
- Ability to speak and read English language
Preferred Qualifications:
- UL certification is strongly encouraged but not required
