As the Conair Business Development Manager for Customer Care, you will play an active and vital role in the success of our customers and boosting the rapid growth of our suite of post-equipment sale offerings. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and conducting activities that will result in increased sales of Service Contracts, Preventive Maintenance, Spare Parts, Training, Extended Warranties, and other value-added services that are in high demand from our industrial equipment customer base. This sales effort requires the skillset to translate the Customer Care value proposition into real-world business value.

At Conair, we make and market over 450 different products, including resin-drying systems, blenders, feeders and material-conveying systems, temperature-control equipment and granulators. Extrusion solutions include gravimetric control systems, film and sheet scrap-reclaim systems and downstream equipment for pipe and profile extrusion. Conair is also a leader in plastics process integration, engineering and installing complete manufacturing systems that help plastics processors manage their valuable raw materials, handle their critical manufactured parts, and improve their process yield. 

Role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for planning and conducting campaigns, coordinating optimum bundling of aftermarket offerings, and engaging in proactive sales visits and calls that lead to initial and renewed sales of these products.

You will serve as a primary point of contact for our customers on the sale and management of these products, achieving quotas and goals. This position will report to the V.P. of Product Management & Customer Care and is field based (you can work from a home office).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and manage aftermarket sales activities; Plan and conduct sales and marketing campaigns to grow the sales of Customer Care products;
• Drive and manage the entire sales cycle – from identifying target customers, developing the right business approach, and building a competitive value proposition, to negotiating through close;
• Develop, forecast, and assess revenue opportunities;
• Compile a well-executed aftermarket sales and service strategy, including plans for bundling, upselling, and coordinate other strategies to optimize the desirability and sales of our aftermarket products; Work with other company departments to structure and implement these products.
• Build a better customer experience and drive customer loyalty by building and maintaining relationships with key personnel who are responsible to maintain auxiliary equipment uptime after the equipment sale;
• Aid Conair in growing our customer interactions over the lifetime of the equipment we sell;
• Support Conair in trade shows and conferences, including giving presentations on the value of OEM after sales support;
• Analyze customer and sales data to determine sales strategy; Understand our customer’s motivations, business drivers, strategic goals and objectives and desired business outcomes;
• Interact with the Conair sales team and our sales representatives to grow aftermarket sales.
