Mechanical Assembler II - Auto Load
This includes the on-the-floor assembly and alignment of large and complicated units. The units may consist of a large number of parts which must be fitted into exacting tolerances.
Roles/ Responsibilities:
- Learns to assemble component parts for products according to established specifications, schedules, and standards of quality;
- Learns to fasten parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners;
- Learns to fit, trim, aligns, and adjust parts and components;
- Learns to solder, lug, route, and tie electrical components;
- Learns to calibrate units according to specification;
- Learns to test installed parts and accessories for functionality;
- Learns to perform inspections to insure assemblies comply with applicable requirements;
- Learns to disassemble and replace parts as required;
- Learns to rework, repair, or replace faulty component parts;
- Learns to repair and rework non-conformances;
Qualifications:
- Must have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs;
- Must be able to work from blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions;
- Must be able to work with a variety of basic machine shop and hand tools;
- High School Diploma/ GED
