Piovan says an increased focus on recycling across the entire plastics processing industry prompted the introduction of its latest granulator range, all of which feature tangential cutting technology. The company claims that inclining the rotary blades with respect to the fixed blades and positioning them as close as possible to the geometric tangent of the cutting circle results in improved cutting precision. This means that high production capacities can be achieved using smaller motors, with the additional benefit of reduced dust production and heat generation.
